Who are we?

West Darling Arts is a non-profit Regional Arts and Cultural Service organisation encompassing the communities of the local governments of Broken Hill City Council, Central Darling Shire Council, Wentworth Shire Council and the Unincorporated Area of NSW.

Its main role is to increase support for, participation in, and benefits from arts and cultural development for the communities of the region west of The Darling.

Our Services

West Darling Arts services are to;

  1. Assist artists and community groups to develop arts projects

  2. Advocate and lobby local, regional, state and national funding providers

  3. Assist with arts and cultural funding applications

  4. Assist Local Government with cultural planning and policy development

  5. Create strong partnerships with Local Government in terms of support for and assistance with arts and cultural development

  6. Secure funding for local and regional arts and culturally related projects

  7. Publish a bimonthly newsletter

  8. Collate and manage a data base of artists and cultural organisations

  9. Produce information resources about issues such as funding, insurance etc.
